Bout Time Pub & Grub: A Look Back at 2024, Eyes on 2025

It’s hard to believe that 2024 has come to a close. For all of us at Bout Time, this year has been packed with exciting events, new milestones, and plenty of opportunities to connect with our amazing community of sports-loving customers. As we reflect on the highlights of this year, we’re also beyond excited about what’s coming in 2025.

2024 Highlights at Bout Time Pub & Grub

2024 was all about creating unforgettable game-day moments. From hosting live watch parties for the biggest events to having more TVs than tables, we’ve ensured every sports fan feels like part of the action. High-definition screens surround sound, and the camaraderie of fellow fans is what we strive to offer every game, sporting event, trivia night, and happy hour!

One of our biggest goals this year was to deepen our connection with the Bout Time community. We were thrilled to see so many of you show up and make big games and not-to-miss events a huge success.

A highlight for us? Sponsoring local youth sports and community programs.

As a neighborhood sports bar, it comes as no surprise that local sports teams are close to our hearts. We look for opportunities to support high school and other teams and players through the Bout Time Cares program so they can enjoy the thrill of the sport to the best of their ability.

“We sponsor a hockey team over in Colorado,” Dan Eckersley, Bout Time Owner and Director of Operations, says that they have progressed from sponsoring individual kids to entire teams and today, Bout Time even sponsors all of the girls and boys sports teams at three different Lehi high schools.

Community recreation leagues and other city sporting events are also considered. “At the Vineyard location, we sponsor all of the city sports that they put on through the city league,” Eckersley continues.

Expanding Our Family

2024 saw us open the Draper, Utah location late in the year to bring our signature sports bar experience to more fans in the Salt Lake Valley. Whether you visit a new location or one that’s been in your neighborhood for years, we’re humbled and proud to have been your place to catch the game across Utah and Colorado.

Looking Forward to 2025

While we’re proud of 2024, we’ve set our sights on even bigger goals for the year ahead.

Good news, Bout Time Pub & Grub nation—the sporting fan experience is what we’re all about so we’ll be hosting even more watch parties and special events so you’ll be able to cheer on your teams any time and all the time.

And 2025 is all about rewarding our incredible customers. From opportunities to win tickets to major sporting events to exclusive access, next year will be packed with chances to score like a pro.

More Community Initiatives

Giving back will remain a core focus in 2025 and we want to continue to support our local communities and youth sports organizations. In addition to sports-related assistance, Bout Time frequently collaborates with local organizations such as churches, chambers of commerce, and cities that need help with a specific project or whose members could use a helping hand. All these activities allow Bout Time to remain connected to the communities in every location they operate.

No location’s community involvement looks the same because needs differ so every Bout Time location has the flexibility to support the worthiest opportunities. In addition, as each sponsorship opportunity comes up, Eckersley determines if that cause also qualifies for a 50% match from the Bout Time Cares program.

Thank You, Bout Time Family

To all of our loyal fans and customers—thank you. You’re the heart and soul of Bout Time, and everything we do is for you. With your support, 2024 was a year to remember. And with your continued enthusiasm, we’re confident 2025 will deliver even more excitement.

Bout Time Pub & Grub Unveils Latest Utah Locations!

We’re thrilled to be able to celebrate every score and goal with sports fans across the state and excited we added several new locations to the team in 2023.

Welcome Tooele: A New Home for Sports Enthusiasts

In early October, our pub in Tooele welcomed new fans. This new franchise location at 615 North Main Street is owned by James Young and Curtis George, who bring 10 years of Bout Time service to Tooele and the surrounding communities.

“We’re very excited to introduce our newest location in Tooele,” said Tim Ryan, CFO of Bout Time Pub & Grub, in a press release. “Our goal is to create an inviting space where neighbors and friends can come together. We want people to feel like they are part of the family when they walk through our doors.”

A Toast to History: Bluffdale’s Unique Heritage Pub

Earlier in the year, the Bluffdale location opened in March and brings with it some amazing American history. The pub was built on the site of the Hot Springs Hotel and Brewery, which was a Utah Pony Express station, inn, and brewery founded in 1856 by Porter Rockwell. The brewery was Utah’s first and, at its peak, made 500 gallons of beer a day. 167 years later, beer is now back in Bluffdale.

Colorado Bout Time Cheers on the Denver Nuggets

The Denver Nuggets won the NBA Finals this past summer for the first time in 47 years as a team. The Bout Time Pub & Grub in Sheridan was featured in an article by The Denver Gazette highlighting the excitement the games generated, and ultimately, fans ate and drank to cheer on their Nuggets. “For the Nuggets Game 1, Bout Time’s sales soared 42% compared to the prior Thursday. The Sunday game was even more pronounced, 57% up from the prior Sunday, with most of that (69%) coming from the big boost in alcohol sales.”

2023 for the Win!

Bout Time Pub & Grub has left a mark in 2023, with significant business moments to cheer about. The pubs continue to score touchdowns with neighborhood crowds as the concept gains momentum, and we open new locations that provide an environment where sports enthusiasts can unwind while enjoying fresh food options. Offering a wide range of handcrafted bites every day in our scratch kitchens—including smoked wings, flavorful pizzas, burgers, mouthwatering sandwiches, and salads—our team is proud to deliver craveable food to your table surrounded by unparalleled game-day vibes while cheering on your favorite teams.
